Ben and Emma´s Emotional Wedding

While radiant yellow and bold orange led us through the rehearsal we now have soft shades of grey and innocent white getting us in the right mood for Ben and Emma´s emotional wedding.

A little bit classy, a whiff of vintage, a pinch of modernity, a handful of rustic charm, lots of coziness and of course so much love – the wonderful Ojai Valley Inn & Spa offered everything, the bridal couple ever wished for: „My vision of my wedding prior to planning was pretty simple. I wanted it to be elegant but still casual and relaxed. We wanted the setting to be jaw-droppingly beautiful, but still make sure people felt comfortable in just a sun dress or button down shirt.“ the bride told us about the venue.

And that´s exactly what it was! The beautiful country club in California was big enough for a moving ceremony, a delicious dinner and an unforgettable jamboree as well as some gorgeous hidden places under shade-giving trees which were perfect for some adorable photo-sessions with the bridal couple, their groom´s men and bridesmaids.

The event planner of All You Need Is Love Events wonderfully implemented Emma´s wish for a casual, comfortable wedding. So she attached great importance to stylish lounge furniture and the perfect tablescape but also the floral decorations. „Our florals of JL Designs were an elegant assortment of whites and greens, including natural accents like thistle and pampas grass. I wanted the style to be slightly undone: loose florals, draping greenery and mismatched bouquets.“ the pretty bride remembers her feast.

With artist Erich McVey the couple contracted another firmly established vendor who captures all the important little moments of a wedding like no other.

„Of course the entire day was packed with incredible moments, but one moment that stands out was being able to tell all our loved ones a big secret we had been keeping. My father passed away exactly six months before our wedding day. When we got engaged we already knew he probably wouldn’t make it to our wedding. So just a few weeks into our engagement we had a private ceremony in my childhood backyard, and he walked me down the aisle. To share this secret was a really meaningful opportunity to remember and honor my dad.“

It must have been an incredibly emotional and moving day Ben and Emma spent with their loved ones. Thanks to photographer Erich McVey we now may get an idea of this exceptional day…
